Field of the Invention [001] The present invention is about a device for packaging a fluid composition and for dispensing the fluid composition using a pipette. The present invention has a more particularly use in the field of devices for packaging cosmetic products, from which the product must be supplied in the form of doses.
Background of the Invention [002] A "cosmetic product" is to be understood as a product as defined by Council Directive 93/35 / EEC of 14 June 1993.
[003] In the prior art, EP-0248345 discloses a packaging and applicator device comprising a container and a closing component, and the closing component is equipped with a pipette that is supplied at its dispensing end with an applicator component such as a brush. This device works by pulling a piston disposed in the pipette in order to load it with a dose of product and, in a second step, unscrewing the closing component in order to allow the application of that dose. The person using such a device has to face the problem of having to perform his successive maneuvers, one that involves pulling the piston, followed by the unscrewing maneuver.
[004] Similarly, the user who applies a product by means of a device as disclosed in document W02009 / 048224 has to face the same problem of his maneuvers, the dose in this case being carried by handling a bulb.
[005] From the disclosure of document FR-2924696, a device for packaging and applicator is known with which it is possible, in
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 10/40
2/15 a single maneuver, separate the closing component from the container and at the same time load a tubular portion connected to the closing component. The product is kept in that tubular portion by capillarity. This type of device also raises a problem in that it allows only very small amounts of product to be loaded, and the closing component must be returned to its completely closed position in order to allow the tubular portion to be refilled. In addition, this device also allows you to distribute only small doses by capillarity with the support on which they must be deposited.
[006] There is, therefore, a need for devices for packaging and applicator that allow the collection of at least one dose, without a specific maneuver by the user when opening the container. In addition, there is a need for such devices that allow recharging the pipettes, which are connected to the closing components, without causing the closing component to return to a closed position of the container. Finally, there is a need for a pipette that is at least partially emptied of the dose it contains when the closure component returns to the closed position on the container.
Description of the Invention [007] The object of the present invention is to solve at least one of the problems above by proposing a device for packaging and distribution that comprises a container and one designed to be inserted in the container in order to allow the collection of a dose of product, the pipette is connected to a closing component to close the container, characterized by the fact that the closing component is equipped with a piston pump designed to suck the liquid into the pipette during the passage of this closing component of a closed position to an open container position, and the pump is equipped with a push button
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 11/40
3/15 pressure to allow product suction and expulsion when the closing component is not in the closed position.
[008] Thus, the user does not need to perform excessive maneuvers: the simple opening of the packaging device gives access to a pipette already loaded with product.
[009] The open position covers the position of the closing component that no longer has any contact with the container and also an intermediate position of the closing component on the container, which intermediate position is characterized by the fact that a simple manual pull, exerted on a free end of the closing component when the latter is in that intermediate position, allows them to be disconnected from each other. The open position also covers the positions in which the closing component can be detached from the container by a simple relative displacement in translation. In fact, it can be said that the closed position is characterized by the cooperation of the connection means carried by the closing component with complementary connection means carried by the container. A prominent position can be characterized by the lack of cooperation between these respective means of connection.
[010] Advantageously, the closing component can be designed so that the passage from the closed to the open position causes a displacement of the piston and liquid aspiration.
[011] The push button can be kept in a stowed position in relation to the closing component when the latter occupies the closed position on the container. This prevents, therefore, any accidental activation and excessive loading of the pipette when the device is in the closed position. Advantageously, the return from the closed position, and also the return of the push button to a retracted position, allows at least
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 12/40
4/15 unless some of the product contained in the pipette is ejected back into the container. Thus, most of the remaining product to be distributed is located homogeneously in the container, outside the pipette.
[012] The closing component can comprise a thread to cooperate with a complementary thread of the container, so that the rotation of an external housing of the closing component in relation to the container can cause the axial translation of the push button in relation to that housing. .
[013] The rotation of the outer housing of the closing component in relation to the container can simultaneously cause, that is, simultaneously the unscrewing of the closing component in relation to the container and the axial translation of the pushbutton in relation to the external housing. This translation of the push button can bring you to a protruding position that allows its activation and, therefore, a pumping action. If it is convenient, in order to completely detach the closing component of the container, an additional unscrewing needs to be carried out, which no longer causes any displacement of the push button, which was able to reach its maximum protrusion position in an intermediate step this unscrewing.
[014] The closing component may comprise a threaded ring that has a longitudinal guide inclination in order to immobilize the outer shell in terms of rotation relative to that threaded ring, while allowing translation of the outer shell in relation to the threaded ring , and the translation of the push button in relation to this outer casing. When the outer casing is activated in rotation in relation to the container, the threaded ring is activated in translation in relation to the container, and for this reason the pressure button, potentially displaceable in translation
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 13/40
5/15 in relation to the threaded ring, it is driven in translation in relation to the outer casing.
[015] A mechanical drive mechanism is thus obtained which allows a displacement rotation to be converted into a translational displacement by means of three components, that is, an outer shell, a threaded ring and a container.
[016] The outer shell can be connected by a transverse reinforcement to an inner tubular portion, and the transverse reinforcement cooperates with the guide inclination of the threaded ring in order to guide the translation.
[017] Alternatively, the container can be provided with a flexible flap provided with a hook that can be connected with a pressure fitting on the closing component, in order to keep it in the closed position, and in such a way that a pushing of this flexible tab in relation to the container allows the closing component to be detached, which then occupies an intermediate position in relation to the container. In this intermediate position, the closing component can be detached from the container by simple traction.
[018] In particular, in the case of the traction device having a main extension axis, the flexible flap designed in such a way that a radical pressure exerted on it in relation to the device allows the closing component to be disconnected.
[019] The push button can be connected to a piston that is slidably inserted into an area of that inner tubular portion. The pipette can be mounted in continuation to that inner tubular portion.
[020] The push button can be held on the threaded ring with a snap fit.
[021] A spring can be tensioned between the pushbutton and the outer casing to keep the pushbutton in an axial position

6/15 fixed in relation to the threaded ring in the absence of pressure exerted on the push button by a user.
[022] The free end of the pipette can be provided with an applicator component such as, for example, a foam applicator, or an applicator with a comb, or a felt applicator, or any suitable applicator that makes the application of the liquid on the most cosmetically acceptable skin or hair.

[035] Figure 1 shows a device 1 for packaging and distributing a product. The product contained is preferably a cosmetic product such as a care cream, a day cream or an anti-wrinkle cream. The product is in fluid form, preferably liquid. Device 1 comprises a container 2 for containing and storing the product before it is marketed and subsequently during its period of use by a user.
[036] To keep the product contained, the container is closed by a closing component 3. The closing component 3 comprises an outer casing 4 and a push button 5. The push button 5 is in the retracted position in Figure 1. It protrudes very little, along a longitudinal axis X, in relation to the outer shell 4. Alternatively, in this retracted position, it can be completely hidden in the outer shell 4.
[037] Container 2 is made of glass, for example, or a thermoplastic material. It can be obtained, for example, by an extrusion-blow molding method. It can also be obtained by assembling a plurality of components. Its cross section is circular or oval, for example. The container 2 has a decorative band 6 on its upper part
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 16/40
8/15 for aesthetic effect and overall design of the device 1. This decorative band 6 can be made of a different material in order to create a material or color contrast with at least one between the container 2 and the outer shell 4. In particular , the outer shell 4 is flush with a band edge 6 in the closed position.
[038] Figure 2 shows the device 1 after differential rotation between the outer shell 4 and the container 2. The outer shell 4 has been moved along the X axis, so that it is at a distance d1 from the decorative band. In this intermediate position, the pushbutton 5 has another position along the X axis in relation to an upper edge 7 of the outer shell 4. It protrudes at a height d2, whereas it protrudes only at a height d3 at closed position in Figure 1. The stroke of the push button is at the maximum of the difference between d2 and d3. This difference between d2 and d3 can be the same or different from d1. In the example shown, d1 is less than the difference between d2 and d3.
[039] Figure 3 shows an exploded view of the various components that are assembled to form the closing component 3. The outer shell 4 is tubular in shape and, at an axial end, comprises a flange 8 that extends radially. This outer shell 4 is made of metal, for example, or of a thermoplastic material which, on its outer circumference, may have a lacquer with a metallic effect.
[040] The closing component comprises a body 9. This outer shell 4 is mounted on the body 9. The body 9 comprises a first outer tubular portion 10 and a second inner tubular portion 11. The two tubular portions 10 and 11 are connected each other by at least one bridge of material 12. Body 9 is preferably produced by injection of a thermoplastic material. The material bridge 12 takes the form of two transverse reinforcements in relation to the X axis. These two reinforcements are
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 17/40
9/15 radially in opposition to each other in the vicinity of the second inner tubular portion 11. In the assembled position, an edge 13, at one end of the first outer tubular portion 10 is in support against the flange 8. Along the X axis, at opposite axial end, that first tubular portion 10 has an increased thickness area 14 so as to be in watertight contact with the inner circumference of the outer shell 4. The outer shell 4 has a fixed axial position in relation to the body 9. Alternatively , this fixed axial position can be achieved by gluing or by a press fit.
[041] The closing component 3 also comprises a threaded ring 15. This threaded ring 15 has a substantially tubular shape provided locally, in its internal circumference, with a thread 16 designed to cooperate with a complementary thread 17 provided on the outer circumference of the container . In particular, container 2 comprises a neck 18 which has a smaller cross-section than the cross-section of the housing formed in that container to contain the product. Thread 17 is formed around this neck 18.
[042] The threaded ring 15 has a flap 19 with two diametrically opposed openings 20. The flap 19 has a substantially tubular shape arranged axially in the continuation of the area that carries the thread 17. The threaded ring 15 is mounted in relation to the body 9 in such a way so that the transverse reinforcements 12 are arranged respectively in these openings 20, and the body 9 can be displaced in translation in relation to the threaded ring 15.
[043] The flap 19 has a chamfered protuberance 21 that extends radially into this tubular zone. As the flap 19 comprises openings, this protuberance 21 allows a snap fit on the outer circumference of a complementary component. In this case, the protrusion 21 comes to cooperate with the push button 5. For this purpose, the push button 5 comprises a flap 22 that extends from the
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 18/40
10/15 circumference of the support surface 23 and which has a sphere 24 that will be connected with a pressure fitting under this protuberance 21. The sphere 24 is a continuous annular thread. It can also be discontinuous. It is located at an axial end of the flap 22. The support surface 23 of the push button 5 here forms a convex dome.
[044] The flap 22 comprises an annular protrusion 25 that extends radially from the outer circumference of the flap 22. The annular protuberance 25 is arranged at an intermediate distance between the end of the flap joined to the support surface 23 and the other end that it has ball 24. The closing member 3 comprises a spring 26, which is helically shaped here. This spring 26 is maintained between the annular protuberance 25 and the transverse reinforcements 12.
[045] When the various components are mounted and the closing component 3 is not mounted in the closed position on the container 2, the push button 5 is pushed back by the spring 26 such that the annular protrusion 25 is brought into contact support against the flange 8. The contact between the ball 24 and the protrusion 21 allows to limit the axial mobility of the threaded ring 15 inside the body 9. In this position, the push button 5 is completely extended from the outer housing 4. If a user pushes the push button 5 in order to push it back inside that outer shell 4, the spring 26 is compressed and the push button slides inside the flap 19 until a free edge 27 of the protrusion 21 is in support against annular protuberance 25.
[046] The displacement of the pushbutton 5 in relation to the outer casing 4 allows product to be pumped into a pipette 31 of the closing component 3. This is because the pushbutton is attached to a piston 28 disposed inside the second portion inner tubular 11. This inner tubular portion 11 ends with a plate 29 which is continued by
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 19/40
11/15 a channel 30, such that the pipette 31 is retained by the plate 29 of the channel 30 so as to open inside the inner tubular portion 11. When the end 32 of the pipette 31 is immersed in a fluid, the displacement of the piston 28 in the inner tubular portion 11 allows the aspiration of fluid in the pipette 31.
[047] Pipette 31 is, for example, held on plate 29 by a pressure fitting. It is made of glass, for example. Alternatively, it can be made of a thermoplastic material. Its end 32 may form a narrowing in relation to the pipette cross section, in order to limit the flow by gravity of the fluid that has been pumped. The narrowing allows the product to be held in place by capillarity.
[048] As shown in Figure 6, the transverse reinforcements 12 are located substantially at the same axial level as the plate 29. The strength of the body 9 is thereby reinforced. In addition, as the transverse reinforcements 12 support the spring 26, they are reinforced by two areas of increased thickness, as shown in Figure 7. These areas of increased thickness result in a U-shaped structure in a sectional plane as shown in Figure 6. This is because the transverse reinforcements 12 have to withstand the permanent tension of the spring and, more particularly, the excessive pressures that will be exerted on each press of the push button 5.
[049] As shown in Figure 6, the inner circumference of channel 30 has a sealing means 33 for making contact with the pipette. This sealing means is formed here by a double annular lip designed to come in airtight contact with the external circumference of the pipette 31.
[050] Piston 28 is, for example, made of a material, for example polyethylene. It comprises a tube 34 mounted around a hollow part 35 of the push button. This hollow part 35 extends from the support surface 23 to the inside of the flap 22. The piston 28 comprises two lips 36 and 37 each connected to a flange 38 which is
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 20/40
12/15 protruding radially from tube 34. Lips 36 and 37 are axially opposed along the X axis. They confer double sealing ring contact with the inner circumference of the second inner tubular portion 11.
[051] The closing component 3 is in the closed position in Figure 4. The threaded ring 15 is completely screwed in the neck 18. The channel 30 is inserted in the neck 18. It comes in watertight contact with a dryer 39 maintained in the neck. This dryer 39 is designed to dry the pipette 31 after removing the closing component 3 from the container 2. Screwing the threaded ring 15 on and neck 18 has the push button translating along the X axis, and the ball 24 is in contact with the transverse reinforcements 12 in order to limit their displacement along the openings 20. The relative displacement of the body 9 in relation to the threaded ring 15, when screwing the closing component 3 on the neck 18, is also limited by the stop of the sealing lip 36 with the plate 29. In the closed position, the spring 26 is compressed and the push button is in a retracted position in relation to the outer shell 4.
[052] During the unscrewing of the closing component 3 in relation to the neck 18, this operation is obtained by a rotation of the outer housing 4, immobilized in rotation in relation to the threaded ring 15, due to the cooperation between the reinforcements 12 and the openings 20, the body 9 moves along the X axis in relation to the threaded ring, under the effect of the spring 26. This translation is limited by the stop between the annular protuberance 25 and the flange 8 and / or by the stop of the transverse reinforcements 12 with a bottom 40 of the openings 20. The closing component is then in an intermediate position where the pushbutton has reached its position of use.
[053] In the collection position, the pressure button 5 protrudes to its maximum extent from the housing 4. However, the unscrewing of the closing component 3 in relation to the neck 18
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 21/40
13/15 may not be completed. This is because a first unscrewing moves the closing component from the closed position to its intermediate position, and an additional unscrewing then allows the closing component to be moved from that intermediate position to a completely detached position of the neck 18. The first unscrewing is, for example , one revolution, while additional unscrewing is one half revolution. The closing member 3 can also be designed to cooperate with the neck 18 in such a way that the intermediate position is the highlighted position.
[054] Figure 8 shows the detail of the threaded ring 15 by which it is possible to form a stop in cooperation with a relief 41 presented by the neck 18. The threaded ring has a relief 42 that protrudes (protruding) from the tubular zone provided with the thread 16, in a direction axially opposite to the protuberance 21. Before reaching this stop, a groove is provided in order to avoid an untimely unscrewing of the closing component 3, and the passage of this groove is able to emit a sound indicating that correct closure has been achieved.
[055] Each activation of the push button allows the collection of a dose of product in the order of several milliliters. The product in the pipette 31 is released by moving the pressure button 5 in relation to the outer shell 4.
[056] In the second embodiment, shown in Figure 9, the container 2 has a ring 100 at the top, from which a flexible flap 101 protrudes (protrudes). This flexible flap 101 cooperates with the closing member 3 in order to keep it in the closed position. For the closing component to be disconnected in relation to this flexible flap 101, the user needs to exert radial pressure until the flap 101 is disconnected and, under the effect of the spring 26 thrust, the outer casing
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 22/40
14/15 of the closing component 3 moves slightly in translation along the X axis.
[057] In this embodiment, the neck is provided with an annular ball 102 instead of the thread provided in the first embodiment described above in relation to Figures 1 to 8. Ring 100 comprises a tubular portion 103 connected around the neck and which has a relief 104 on its internal circumference able to cooperate with the annular sphere 102 in order to immobilize the ring axially in relation to the container 2.
[058J The flexible flap 101 is formed on the sleeve surface of the tubular portion 103. The flexible flap 101 comprises a vertical facet carried by a second ring 105 retained axially immobile in the ring 100. The flexibility of this second ring 105 gives the necessary mobility to the vertical facet , allowing it to be pushed radially and allowing it to be disconnected from a complementary relief.
[059] In this second embodiment, instead of a thread, the closing member 3 comprises an annular recess to cooperate with the flexible flap 101 in the closed position. In particular, this annular recess is formed in a body 109, which is made differently from the body 9 of the first embodiment in the example shown. This is because the body 109 here comprises a first tubular portion 110 which is not connected to a second, inner tubular portion 111, and these tubular portions 110 and 111 thereof are translatable here in relation to each other.
[060] Thus, when a user pushes the flexible tab 101, the spring 26 retained between the push button 5 and the tubular portion 111 exerts a push such that, from the moment the push button is in support inside of housing 4, it is that housing 4 and the outer tubular portion 10 that are moved in a slight translation displacement along the X axis,
Petition 870190030667, of 03/29/2019, p. 23/40
15/15 while the pipette 31 and the inner tubular portion 111 remain in a fixed axial position in relation to the container 2.
[061] In this disconnected position, the closing component 3 remains in the container, and a tight annular contact 106 is maintained between the dryer 39 and the pipette 31 in order to guarantee a seal that preserves the product even in the case of an accidental activation of the flexible tab 101. When the user places this device in a bag, the risks of accidental activation should not cause damage to the quality of the product that will be applied subsequently.
[062] It is only when the user removes the closing component, exerting a translational traction in relation to the container, that the spring 26 will continue its thrust until the inner tubular portion 111 will adopt a second axial position in relation to the outer tubular portion 110 For this withdrawal, the user will have to make a slight effort to overcome the frictional force between the pipette and the dryer. During this relative displacement, the piston 28 will be progressively raised inside the inner tubular portion 111, and this will contribute to loading the pipette with liquid. In the completely detached position of the closing component 3, the user will then also have a pipette pre-loaded with product.
[063] As can be seen in Figure 11, pipette 31 is mounted inside channel 30 and is inserted from the free end of channel 30 opposite the inner tubular portion 111.
[064] In this description, the expression "that comprises (m) one" should be considered synonymous with "that comprises (m) at least one" unless otherwise specified.
